I have a set of Z506 and I cant seem to get the two rear speakers to work.I double checked my work and still nothing. View 1 Repliesĭrivers/Hardware :: Cannot Seem To Get Two Rear Speakers To Work Nov 20, 2015 I'm assuming that the Dell speakers that are stuck as default are the on-board ones on the laptop. I cannot change the default audio devices via the sound dialog box that is available by right-clicking on the sound icon on the bottom right of the screen. I've seen things about disabling the HDMI audio controller. When I did get the speakers to work, they were working on the 3.5mm headphone/microphone jack on the laptop, but not through the jack on the HDMI/VGA adapter. I had things working at one point (no, I cannot remember what I did or can find the tutorial that I used), but after moving my desk (unhooking the laptop from the monitor), cussing at non-functional microphone, and setting things back up, I'm back to no sounds. I can get system sounds via the laptop's speakers, but I can't play MP3s and YouTube videos have no sound. I have my laptop connected to an external monitor & I can't get any non-system sounds to play.ĭell Laptop w/ only HDMI video connected to Dell VGA monitor (no speakers) via an adapter that has a 3.5mm jack for speakers. I actually have two issues (the second being that the built-in microphone isn't working, but that's the least of my worries). (I reported the settings not opening, and it was fixed in 20.4.Drivers/Hardware :: Speakers Won't Work With External Display Nov 20, 2015 At the time, I just wanted to play the game, so I didn't do much debugging, and just went back to 20.3.1, as 20.4.1 had an issue with the AMD Settings not opening. I also get the exact same BSOD when trying to launch an older game, XCOM: Enemy Within, as soon as the game launches and I get to the menu, it BSODs. Issue #2: I've only seen this in two games, but I will do more testing soon, in 7 Days To Die, playing for a bit results in a BSOD, which I can't remember the details of, but I will try 20.4.2 again, and post an image of the BSOD when I get it. The issue is delayed, like the first day or two of use after installing the driver is perfectly fine, the longer the driver is installed, the more likely the issue is to appear. I've only found two fixes, one is installing 19.7.5, the second is a temporary fix, moving a window makes things smooth again. It doesn't matter if a load like Furmark is applied after the issue happens, it still happens. Issue #1: Anything graphically accelerated lags after a while of low GPU usage, games, videos, benchmarks, etc. PSU: Rosewill Hive 750w (Not Hive-S) I also tested the NZXT Hale82 v2 700W, but only for the lagging issue

I didn't post much details about the other issues, as I've reported both to AMD, but I can provide details
